i am amie jammeh, a multidisciplinary dancer of gambian and swedish heritage. based in germany for several years, i have worked as a dancer and performer while collaborating across various artistic constellations in various artistic fields. continuously expanding my own creative practice, i focus on the socio-political landscape of movement and performance, wanting to challenge and change the "status quo" of which bodies are being seen / not seen. i capture these dynamics through writings, photography, film and drawing. rooted in decolonial narratives, my work seeks to pass the mic to the ones who didn't get the chance to speak yet.
